Someone should organize a class action lawsuit against Thin Red Line for false advertisement. If I recall correctly, several of the top-billed named actors had like, 10 second scenes in the film.

Weak.

Oh and it sucked.

I just decided to make a Top 10 instead

Cougar's List:

1. Buffalo '66
2. Swimming With Sharks
3. Death Proof
4. Owning Mahony/Love Liza (pick your depressing Phillip Seymour Hoffman film, they are both great)
5. American Splendor
6. The Rules of Attraction
7. The Game
8. 21 Grams
9. Deconstructing Harry
10. An Unfinished Life

Let me also say that I have no idea what the IDBM rating of any of these are, and one of my faves American Psycho didn't make the list only because of it's notoriety.

That's an interesting list. That's a good list. There is a lot more reasonable discussion that comes out of that list.

Loved Owning Mahoney, Love Liza.

21 Grams and Rules of Attraction are two of my all time faves. There is absolutely nothing uplifting in 21 Grams. Not one ounce of hope and I love that.

Rules of Attraction has about 5 WTF???? moments that have made it a rewatchable gem for me (probably 15 or so viewings).

Liking the Muddy seal of approval on my list

Bread there are some amazing moments in Rules of Attraction, these being some of my favorites:

Deconstructing Harry is an interesting one. It's got me thinking.

I confess I am somewhat predisposed to disliking Woody Allen. Partly because he's such a creep (with the whole boinking his daughter thing) and partly because his film-making has been so mediocre-to-weak for so long.

But there is no question he had some good material in him at one time. I kind of remember liking Deconstructing Harry - but it's been so long since I saw it.

Bottom line: I need to see it again.

Almost made my list Daft.

It would have made a top 20 but didn't have enough films come to mind.

Swingers was still way better IMO, but Made was a bit underrated.

Eternal Sunshine is another one (Stevie), though I think that got pretty good reviews, at least, I hope it did.
