Well if you ever get the idea that it will be super-hard to get back to conventional working (if it comes to that and let's hope not), it's not that bad. Wasn't for me anyway. After being self-employed and working from home for ~8 years, I thought I might be suicidal trying to get back to the 9-5. Like seriously.

Naw. Re-adapted almost instantly.

Nah, not worried about that. Obviously I'd rather be doing my own thing, but I usually enjoy doing the 9-to-5 thing for a year or two, then it becomes meh for another year or two, then I quit and try something else. Circle of middle-class life.

Someone took a satellite photo of my new workplace while I was there on Friday:

Forgot my glasses when I went to work yesterday - which was not fatal but kind of a hassle - hard to tell 5's from 6's and 8's from 9's etc. - which is important when I'm looking at alphanumeric part numbers all day long - errors are closely monitored - and so my new mission for the week is to determine exactly how our benefits work and start using them.

Need to get another pair of glasses that I can keep in my locker.

'bout time to pick up the dentistry where we left off.

etc. etc.

My company is buying us burritos on Monday. To be exact: BOOO-ritos. Get it? Halloween?

So I put in my order. I feel like this came up in conversation here at gamelive not long ago but I repeat: I am not sure I have ever had a burrito before.

:dontthinkso:

In fact we were given little order sheets for our BOOO-ritos and that is one thing I did not check. Beans.

I got steak and cheese and . . . I don't remember what else but there were like 4 other things - but I saw beans there and immediately did one of these:
