Working Sunday kicks ass.

I mean, it doesnt kick ass compared to what I would be doing at home if I wasnt working but given that I am expected to do some weekends and given that its some good extra cash that I should take advantage of whether I have to or not ---> its pretty relaxed I was able to get some questions answered had my most productive day so far ---> kick-ass!

I am now going to count the little injuries on my hands. Paper/cardboard cuts, barked knuckles, spots where maybe the teeth of a tape gun caught me, blood spot under a thumbnail etc . . .

If you include the first few inches of the wrist - which I do - 11 right now.

Big day yesterday. I am working in an area where productivity is measured by lines (of UPS orders packed). In order to be considered up-to-snuff, the standard is 225 lines per day.

For many reasons, it takes time to get that good. A couple or three months even. Most days these days, there are only like 3 guys that hit that (out of ~15). There are a lot of guys who have been there from 1-3 months with personal bests in the 170's - so they're not close - and even the experienced guys won't hit it a lot of days.

Some people - lots of people - will never hit it. It's hard.

So anyway I set a personal best of 181 last Sunday. Through the week I inched up day-by-day, finally hitting 185 on Thursday.

Anyway, point being, yesterday - BOOM! ---> 201. AND I did that with still 45 minutes left. We just ran out of orders. Considering my pace was a line every 2 minutes, I would be RIGHT THERE.

That's what's called a quantum leap, bitches.

Leap-frogged over a bunch of guys half my age that have been at it quite a bit longer.

So that feels pretty good.

The calorie burnage is crazy. I am wasting away. I need to force myself to eat more than I naturally want to eat to keep at the right weight.

It's good. I love to eat. But I have to change my mentality. I am used to being a bit careful but there's no need to be careful about a damn thing.
