Wally, why did you continue to dismiss Matty's discussion of the half-point calculator? I am more amateur than you but have listened to enough people state that if you have an edge on a game regardless of if it is by .5 or 3 pts, then the edge has a price. The half-point calculator will let you know what a fair price is, if you are getting a discount then you take it. Feel free to correct me if i am wrong.

There are also percentages for how many games end on 1, 2, 3, 4...etc. That would also come in handy.

Matty wasn't trying to discuss anything, Matty was trying to point out how much I lower the level of this board with my mundane inquiries. Either that or he has grown tired of wanting Casper to die and decided to step back up in weight class.

In all honesty I wasn't really that interested in the calculator I was more interested in the idea of buying or not buying points period. I was thinking that with multiple outs those guys would probably be able to drop or gain the hook buy simply shopping around.

Wally, I'm far from a pro but if I recall from my semi-pro days it absolutely, totally depends on the price of the hook. The only numbers you should ever consider buying off of are 3 and 7, but ...and here's the rub... the books know about this too.
