Ok. Everyonesis saying the US played well, they should be happy with the result... aside from the obvious that the result is the same as last cycle did the USA really improve? They looked pretty crappy to me. On their heels constantly... soccer experts opine pls, I need to regurgitate your analysis to my co-workers.

yeah, their results in retrospect were pretty average. (predicted by me exactly actually )
However, at times they looked scary against good teams.

Even though Portugal is very capable of sucking they are a legit top team. After falling behind against them the US is not supposed be able to come back and have a lead with 1 minute to go. Also threatened Germany late etc.

In the end I'm a little more respectful of their play. Are they gonna be on even footing with top European or SA contenders anytime soon? no

Argentina was not in that group, Saltyballs.

Correct. England.

This is from Wiki:

In the 2014 World Cup, three groups were acknowledged in the media as "group of death": Group B (Spain, Netherlands, Chile, Australia),[71] Group D (Uruguay, Costa Rica, England, Italy),[72] and Group G (Germany, Portugal, Ghana, United States).[73][74]

Shouldn't there only be one group of death.?

There's so much nonsense to this sport.
