They were a team that made no sense. They had the largest run differential in baseball - they were 50-51.

Not just runs - run differential.

They had a lot of the current pieces. Yes, some great trades were made - and Stroman is a gift from the mighty gods of Olympus - but still, most of the important guys have been here the whole time.

They were 50-51.

And now this.

:dunno:

Another day, another late inning comeback win with all kinds of clutchness on both sides of the ball.

R.A. Dickey fronting a triple A roster out there for game 2 of the double header. Hopefully that's a one-time thing and we are back to doing business tomorrow.

Also hopefully - the AAA guys can actually pull it out. Scoreless tie around the midway point.

I am extremely pissed off at manager John Gibbons right now. He apparently places minimal value on home field advantage and I think that is foolhardy to say the least.

All you have to do is look at the Jays' home versus away records to see that. Not just the Jays but everyone. In every sport. Forever.

Home field advantage is a thing.

Dude trotted out a triple A lineup again today. They lost. Announced he will not pitch David Price again until game 1 of the ALDS.

I'm sure he's hoping for the best to magically happen but he is not going for it.

Kansas appears to be playing their guys. How unstupid of them.

Price could pitch on his regular rotation - and still pitch game 1 - with a couple extra days rest.

Instead he will pitch the most important game of the year on an amount of rest he has not experienced. 12 days or something?? Will he be sharp as hell? Rusty?

No way of telling.

The team had been playing .750 ball for about 60 games. I guess you wouldn't want to keep doing what you've been doing. Time to start changing a bunch of stuff.

Did anyone say he was going to sit the starters for the rest of the season? Or do you think that he gave the hungover bastards the day off today? I am honestly curious..
