Cali, I'm in the Princeton/Toms River area at the moment. Going to Hoagie Haven in Princeton in an hour, if you want to meet up. Also have a ticket to see Avicii at Pier 94 on NYE, and a hotel room in the Marriott. Let me know if you want in with a group of 21yr olds.

NY is pure materialism at it's finest. Most women there are seeking strictly money men and they don't even pretend to hide it. Buy a table at a club, which you have to do to get in, and women just start showing up and taking your alcohol and talking with you. I think it's quite sad.

true. but not all women. in fact, i only know one woman who fits that description. you are referring to party girls. fair weathered girls.

then there is the other side. Women who come to NYC to be career women. Women like me.

Don't put everyone into your tiny box of what you think nyc women are. there are like 8 million ppl in nyc. don't be so judgmental.

FF, you could not be more wrong. Many single women in NYC are not at all materialistic. They DO want a guy with ambition though and are not afraid to convey that. Your description is of CLUB girls not NYC girls. Most NYC girls won't even go into a club.
 
Get out of the apartment during the day and enjoy the sunshine. Most depressed people suffer from lack of exposure to the sun. When I was single I met and made lots of new friends on sunny days. Of course that was eons ago before cell phones and internet when if you wanted to meet new people you actually had to get out of the house and go find them.
 
I think Pavy is right, getting out in the sunshine and chatting people up is the best thing you can do for yourself. Even if you don't make a friend right away, at least you will have enjoyed a beautiful day and get to have some social. interaction. I believe that alone could make you feel better.

Tully, put me in a room with 100 women from different NY boroughs and let me ask them 10 questions. I will be able to distinguish which ones were raised in Manhattan, Staten Island, Long Island, Queens, and Brooklyn. I wouldn't be 100% right, but I would be close. Manhattan girls are definitely a different breed.
 
Man, the way some of u r describing it NYC sounds like a bit of a scrubber town these days. I'm sure its not that bad though.

CG u better get at least 10 mins sun everyday. Ur body will thank u 4 the hit of vitamin D that comes with partaking in such activities.

What can you do to get yourself there?

Once you are there what do you plan to do with yourself?
