Yep.

Pretty sure the progression went something like this.

Pabst --> pickle backs --> pabst --> craft beers --> pabst --> saki (only warm variety) --> bourbon..

I'm not sure what their drink of choice is now. The smart money is on pabst, but bourbon was definitly in there.

See that's weird because I would think that hipsters would be more prone to drink Scotch (this has nothing to do with Matty's new found love of Scotch).

I would think that hipsters would be weary of bourbon simply because it comes from Kentucky.

:dunno:

Daffy, we can't have all you jokers running around jobless under the current system.

I'd propose radically altering the shape of society. A society where the community decides whats needed and that work is distributed fairly. Lack of "jobs" should be a celebration meaning everyone can rejoice and relax, not suffer. With all the technology and crap we have (such as tractors) we could probably work one day a month and feed everybody. Plus the individual would not be a meaningless, brain dead, numb, clog in the system but would be directly involved, seeing his work benefiting himself and the community. We wouldn't need advertising, banking, senseless driving to useless jobs etc. etc. etc.

The casinos should just send me a check to stay home. Why waste each others time? :dunno:

btw, private prisons are bad news, very representative of where this shit system is headed.

and some good point up there Archie.

United States is a pretty fucked up nation with backwards priorities.

BVG (Bleeding Vagina Girl) works for a non-profit that sends American teachers to oil rich counties to teach school. Most of these teachers in the south are living in poverty. They don't want to leave but are essentially forced to leave. I don't understand the way Americans treat teachers are some sort of evil necessity.

not true... teachers make a decent living and get paid for 3 months , vacation every yr. I know some teachers, of course their not rich but no where near being poor.
cost of living, its all relevant to where you are. a comfortable living here would be poverty level in other parts of the country

Just got back from Denver... had a great time. Only spent a few hours down at the Occupy Denver movement though. It seemed to be a 50/50 split between people there to see reform (good or bad) and loiterers like myself there just to witness what was going on. It was fun nonetheless. Heres a few pics.
