USA needs a Germany win. That will take Ghana out of the tournament. Then a win or a draw vs Portugal puts the US in the next round. You don't want Germany to be needing to win vs the US on last game to secure first place.

A German victory is way better than a Ghana victory for the US but a draw is slightly more ideal.

I do have Argentina in the final but they haven't played very well

Still haven't figured out a team to cheer for. Sometimes if I watch a game, I'll have a gut reaction and discover I am cheering for someone, but watching soccer? ---> that doesn't sound like something I'm going to do.

Draw doesn't keep Ghana out. You don't want the US to be fighting 2 teams for one spot. If the US draws with Portugal they are in if Ghana is out as long as they don't get thrashed by Germany.
