I did a "lazy man" triathalon earlier in the year where you did all the stuff of a triathalon but you had 30 days to do it.

It included swimming 2.2 miles or something? In any case it was 84 laps I think (both ways or 168 segments) in a standard size pool.

Now see for me, a lazy man triathlon would be like, walk 100 meters and light the barbecue and walk back.

Nope. I had night-terrors for years as a kid.

My youngest boy is going through this night terror phase. I feel bad for him. He has been good the last 3 weeks, but I probably jinxed myself/wife/son and he will probably wake up tonight screaming and crying for a few mins. This has been going on for about 2 years now. FOK!!!

I woke up screaming bloody murder on a regular basis for a few years, I think. It may have been tougher on the rest of my family than it was on me.

That's my son right there Mr X. It's harder on us because he doesn't remember a thing in the morning. All we do is comfort him for a bit and after a couple mins we can slowly see him coming out of his "night terror" as his "cry" softens into a typical little boy cry. My wife and I were baffled until we did some reading on the internet and also mentioned it to the pediatrician. I actually wondered if he was experiencing my night terrors as his did thrash in his bed a bit, but now he just sits up in his bed and cries.

It was definitely tough on us and especially my oldest boy as he was always waking up and he usually sleeps like a rock and it takes a lot to wake him up. DAMN!!!

What are Night Terrors? Obviously another sleep disorder...actually I have heard sleep paralysis referred to as this but I know it is different. I just don't know what the difference is. ?

Like a nightmare but you wake up in a complete panic, usually screaming. It takes awhile to regain reality.

They occur mostly in children and can last into their teens, but most outgrow them. Some adults can have them. From what I recall it's when kids move from different sleep stages. My son always had his terrors between 11 p.m. - 12 a.m.

My youngest daughter had these a couple of times....just complete panic and confusion....it appeared that she was so lost in her dream, that it took a moment of me talking to her and holding her for her to come back to reality. IMO, night terrors and Paralysis are very similar.
