I still don’t know anyone that has tested positive.

Does anyone here?

Seems like I should know at least one person, to make this thing believable.

It isn't that unbelievable when testing is so unavailable for anyone that isn't in terrible shape (or rich and famous).

Roguey was dying with corona-like symptoms, didn't get tested.

I had a really bad flu with 8/9 top symptoms and a dry cough that lasted 3 weeks. Even went to urgent care they didn't bother testing me since I could breathe.

Not to mention others who may be asymptomatic or had extremely mild cases.

Odds are we all know someone who has had it, but wasn't tested.

I fucking hate how politicized this whole thing is.

I'm sure there are democrats/liberals that don't want to be stuck indoors and want to get back to work/get things opened up again, just like I'm sure there are republicans that want quarantine to be enforced for the safety of themselves and others. Society isn't painted in broadstrokes like these assholes on both sides act like it is.

Like Casper I can't bring myself to watch the news, frequent reddit or other forums right now. People are fucking annoying/retarded/ignorant and feel the need to broadcast their stupid thoughts for others to see at every opportunity.

I don't want to hear them, can't discuss things with them and so choose to ignore them instead. Gamelive is my safe place - where "annoyingly stupid" does not do well.

Where we stand on people leaving their old folks at these senior homes instead of pulling them out?

staying there is a death trap

There are old people and then we have senile old people. Even in times like this, certain elderly are better in nursing homes under the care of people that can give them the proper attention they need.

I feel this is a case by case issue.

5% of older adults (aged 65+) live in a nursing home. Of these, about 50% of nursing home residents are 85 years old or older, 35% are between the ages of 75 and 84, and 15% are between 65 and 74 years of age. Most nursing home residents are admitted with more than one condition, most with three or more conditions.

81 years US women life expectancy

76 years US men life expectancy

Where do you stand after seeing the above numbers? :popcorn

And forget the numbers, how many families can handle having a love one living with them, taking care of them, especially at this difficult time of trying to take care of themselves too? Maybe people who have relegated their old folks to a nursing home, shouldn't be allowed to refer to them as "loved ones"!
