Conspiracy theorists have long said that the virus was engineered in Wuhanand/or a Chinese bio-security leak.

The Washington Post is now giving more credence to those theoriesby calling the origin story murky. The Wuhan wet market didn’t actually have bats for sale that time of year. The Wuhan lab where they studied bat coronaviruses was just a few hundred yards from the wet market. Chinese studies of the novel coronavirus starting in and leaking from the Wuhan lab were published and then mysteriously withdrawn.

I cannot help but laugh at the folks who called Trump crazy for even hinting that this was possible. Lol on them (and lol on him for being a complete spaz about how to communicate this was a distinct possibility).

The American imperialists got their hands in everything. That's the issue. Blaming China is not the issue.
Of course, they are preparing the US public for war, so blaming China/Russia/whoever is necessary, you know, in case we wanna send a couple of nukes their way. We don't want people to be shocked.

As far as I can tell, there are two big knocks on him out of the 3000 or so emails. Both happened very early on.

1. Fauci's colleagues very early on mentioned coronavirus might have originated in a lab out of Wuhan. This theory was publicly downplayed. Fauci opponents believe this is evidence of a cover-up. Fauci supporters believe this was early speculation that the scientific community decided was less likely than given explanation of origins.

2. Fauci didn't recommend masks in February to a traveler who asked and mentioned in another email cloth masks aren't effective. This isn't new as there's that video of him early on saying masks are not helpful for ordinary folks. Opponents say his 180 on masks is proof of a big conspiracy. Supporters say his opinion changed with the science as more information came out.

That's about it.

If indeed there was some grand plan to spread misinformation on the usefulness of masks or the origin of the disease or whatever, the dems or BIG BROTHER or whoever were really really good about orchestrating the plot without any emails. All claims to Fauci being part of a conspiracy seem to be loosly tied to this handful of emails.

But hey, the emails are public domain and lots of people have written breakdowns on them. I'm sure some of the folks here claiming that Fauci is the antichrist or whatever can easily prove I'm wrong and that Fauci is evil with some actual evidence...

. That's likely true, except that when 1st asked about the initial statement, he claimed that it was to save masks for health workers.
You can't have it both ways. He either lied then or is now.
Personally I'd guess he got a big head from being the media darling and didn't want to admit that his advice was inconsistent at any point. (he was just being oh so caring)

For me, the bigger concern is what are these fucks doing with their "research"? Obviously Fauci is just a cog in the system, and seems to be less than honest and forthcoming with whatever information he has.
