How do you afford golf on your meager salary wally?

First off I take offense to belittling my income. Sure it's not a great sum of money but I come from a working class background. I didn't have nice inheritance or trust funds to fall back on and unfortunately I needed to go to work after high school instead of going on to college. So for the education level obtained I have done reasonably well all things considered.

Secondly, when you shoot fok'n 77 in our game. the golf pays for itself.

Round of golf -$36
Skins game -$18
Foursome game +$75
Side bets +$85

Total $106 profit

Durito, the non-smartass answer to your question is. My house is paid for, my vehicle (currently cause the guy hasn't sold me the Tundra yet) is paid for. All I have is utilities, insurance, and regular living expenses. So on good rounds of golf it pays for itself. On bad spells of golf, I work to play.

Yesterday was a great day of golf as well. We finished 18 holes and my team bet was down $2 for the round but I was up $21 on my individual bet. The other team wanted to play an emergency 9 and press the bets up.

My partner had 1 birdie and I had 3 birdies in those 9 holes. When we were done our team bet had won $104 each and my individual bet won $102.

We adjust strokes after every 9 holes so eventually I will lose that back simply based on the strokes but that's why I have a real job.
