One of many reasons why he continues to rise from the ashes and be the Steven Dorff of forumland

Smoke blue

That is one of the most embarrassing ads I've ever watched.

I don't care if you're fucking Tom Waits, if you plan on smoking your robot cigarette in public prepare yourself for ridicule. You look stupid.

I am in the dark on that product. Does it actually taste and feel like a tobacco smoke? I can't imagine it does or you wouldn't be able to do it in public. But if so, fair enough.

Or is the point that smoking is all about how it looks - and you can still go ahead and get that smoking look without interruption.

Cuz I gotta be honest. I see someone smoking - cigarettes, cigars, those things, whatever - I think they look retarded.

I believe that they deliver nicotine. No smoke, just vapor.

Poloroid - God bless his soul - was a proponent and enthusiast of the robot cigarette.

yes, I remember ole Polaroid futzing around with his electronic cigarette set up. The case, the fluid, it was like a chemistry experiment every time. :polaroid: :thosewerethedays:

I find it odd to see that commercial on tv. I mean they are cigarettes, without the second hand smoke perhaps. But if the idea is to keep kids away from smoking this ad is totally the wrong thing imo.

Maybe they're good for people who are trying to stop smoking. That's what I thought they were at first. But then this Stephen Dorff guy apparently got paid to act all scruffy-suave, as if the robot cig was getting him laid by semi-celebrities on a daily basis.

You glow blue at one end for no reason. Relax.

They're really no more a cigarette than nicotine gum or patches. I mean, yes, you're inhaling, but you're not getting anything that you get from a cigarette except the nicotine.

But the odd thing is in the way its presented. Totally the same thing that was used to encourage smoking. the rebel/ cool guy puffing away etc.. I just have a hard time reconciling how this is allowed under the anti smoking climate of today :dunno:

Even though I've always been personally opposed to any smoking bans
