The only reason I know about this is because casino sent out letters urging gamblers to oppose this proposition, write congressmen etc.. Don't assume my motives because everyone you deal with is a douche.
Yes, the casinos oppose it for obvious reasons.
Yes, it might be a negative for me personally because it will likely lead to changes in the casino and waste time.
But what irritates me is that this is an obvious attempt to milk the cattle further. The poor, withered cattle that has already paid for everything. But some shmos are up there getting paid millions to figure out new ways to squeeze. And that does piss me off :robyn:

Those poor schmoes probably shouldn't be gambling then. Then again, the casino would lose 85% of their business without those schmoes. Not disagreeing with the stance because it's a money grab by the taxman.

Reno is a fukking retard. He makes no sense and is either intentionally avoiding the point or is too stupid to use reason and instead speaking in vagaries. Who is getting milked? Who is troubled by this, who does this hurt? It only hurts winning professional gamblers who routinely avoid taxes. That's it.

Like I said, I hate taxes, I'm with FW. But don't try to characterize this complaint as anything more than "I want my money."

Boner you ignorant turd, the gambler is getting milked. What's so hard to understand. Not talking about professionals. People who gamble. People who already pay into the system by way of vig. You ever heard of gambling?:what?:
Don't be trying to pass of your ignorance and slave mentality as some law abiding righteousness.

But don't they have to calculate first how much money you put in the slot machine to hit the $1,000 payout? I thought it was net winnings that are taxed. Then you can fill in the form that you spend $401 chips to hit the $1000 payout.

No. They just give you the W2-G whatever it is for the winning amount. You have to claim full amount, but you can write off your losses to the extent of your winnings when you itemize on your taxes.

It used to be that you could choose whether or not to have them w/hold taxes at time of payout, but that may have changed as well. Long time since I've played slots.

yes, you still have that option

I never had them take out the taxes at payout. One place they had to take it out...maybe that was in Vegas? I can't remember the reasoning.

I miss playing the 2 coin progressive $1 Blazing 7s at Central Station. I used to clean up on those. They had tons of those. There was one at Isle also that I loved. What the heck was that? This talk is making me want to go play at the casino here...but here anyway, it seems everything is those new ones with the million lines and crazy imagery. I'm old school.

We've talked about it before probably, but where do you like to play? I haven't been to BH/CC in probably 4 years, so they have probably built up and/or changed names.
