day 2 of my carb cycling diet for the next 10weeks... attempting to get bodyfat% to 8-9% or lower...*if i can do that without weight falling below 170lbs...

keep in mind, protein is raised, but this carb diet will go something like this:

day 1. no carbs (except whatever is in vegetables ... prob 30-40 to be realistic) arms/abs/calves/cardio (yesterday)
day 2. 30g carbs with breakfast ... 30g carbs in form of wild/brown rice post workout ... 20-30g carbs in form of veggies... chest/cardio
day 3. double day2 carbs with workout late in the evening after a handful of meals... legs ... fuck cardio on leg day
day 4. no carbs ... shoulders/abs/cardio
day 5. day2 diet...30/30/30 ... back/cardio

REPEAT

Ray...I've skimmed books about carb cycling in the past but never seriously considered it. I see you are doing a 5 day plan that repeats...the ones I've looked at (Chris Powell) seem to be on a 7 day cycle...he has 4 different plans.

Is carb cycling what you used do a while back and always had your "cheat day?" or was that some other plan? It looks there are very variations on the cc thing. Was this plan based on a specific book?

Do you have to eat your first meal pretty quickly after waking up? That could be a problem for me. I know. I ask a lot of questions.

That looks like a shit ton of food early in the morning btw.

iga, in the past, i was simply low carbing 50g a day ish with one big cheat meal a week...usually a pizza ... but i wasnt really hitting the weights as much as i was doing that hiit training ... Insanity/p90x type of stuff

the carb cycle that most athletes use to cut weight usually looks like : no carbs...a few carbs...more than a few carbs...no carbs...a few carbs...more than a few carbs...on and on...you get the idea ... with cardio fasting in the mornings (meaning nothing to eat before doing cardio when you wake up) i might do a few days of cardio fasting on days that i decide not to lift, but it totally drains my whole fucking day when i do it...

cami, i had that meal about 30min after i woke up... once i woke up, i drank a protein shake and then started drinking on a hydroxycut and finished the hydroxycut with my meal.. not exactly how you are supposed to do it, but it happened...

im cutting about 750-1k calories out, but will still be slightly above maintenance, but the cardio and hydroxycut hammer the fat down...

im also going to cheat from weeks 2-10 and run trenbolone with my testosterone in the hopes of gaining some muscle mass while losing bodyfat... giving myself shots every other day is going to be a mother fucker though...
 
carb cycling is much easier than cutting carbs cold turkey and trying to get your body into ketosis... just start replacing any breads/rice/potatoes/chips with green beans/salad/broc on the no carb days.... the next day, have something like half bowl of oatmeal and then at dinner maybe eat half cup of brown rice...then next day, if you are going to work out hard, double the oatmeal and rice to a normal serving that you would have...next day its back to nothing.. and days when you dont plan on doing any activities, make it another day of not eating carbs...
