So putting aside the joke and out of context line, all they have is:

- DEI council
- Gender affirming care order
- Could have handled a riot situation better, admitted it.

I know DEI is a bad word these days, but a general rule, diversity and inclusion aren't terrible things to strive for, even if policies over the last five years (this was 2019) haven't gotten it right.

That leaves support of gender-affirming care for minors, which is a legitimate and complicated issue. And, apparently, the only actual one they can dig up on this guy? That's pretty crazy.
