It's to this day and I'm still amazed the people chose this character to be their hero. I mean I get it from his part, he plays a successful magnate role and that image allow him to earn from licensing and shit. Vince McMahon used the Trump character also but that story line was only a few weeks, that's it - a story like his should only live a few weeks. People from the five boroughs ain't falling for this shit, they see right through the charade to the charlatan, just like thousand others in every day New York City. But dumb asses from Georgia swallow his shit with gusto. 8 years on and I'm still amazed. -lessons learned 1) if you can make it in new york city you can make it anywhere 2) you have to skin all these dumb asses for all the money they have the capitalist way

LOL hero, what! Most saw the country wouldn't do as well with Biden so they voted again for him in 2020, and they were right!!! It's again a no-brainer who is the choice for President for the betterment of the country though 80M+ thought otherwise in 2020. Good for them they got what they voted for. Hopefully their dumb asses don't make the same mistake again.

I see you want some outsider who is doesn't come from money or elite status to get behind. That's your hero type but in politics that person rarely exists. And why is all those smart people wanting to leave NYC? Maybe they are tired of swallowing all the shit that Biden's policies/results have given them. It continues to amaze me all those young smart college educated graduates prefer Biden while the dumb ass GED diploma high schoolers side with Trump. :peace:
 
2016 Trump taped into rust belt communities that had been losing jobs for generations. Trump continues to play this card, these jobs aren’t coming back for many reasons but trump fucking sluts in the Lincoln bed room is soon to be a thing. I live in a highly democrat area but the amount of trade folks in my area that support trump is in the 90 percent tile. I’m currently renovating a duplex and had 5 different contractors in the last week with trump bumper sticks on their trucks do work on the property.

Direct correlation between the IQs of Americans dropping and social media has brought us here.

I truly believe if social media and the piss poor way we have bastardized the usage of the internet never occurred, we would care more.

I am all for villifying social media and it's role in the collapse of society... but I disagree in regards to apathy.

Social media powered the Trump movement. Facebook and Twitter helped radicalize his fanbase.

And then TikTok has helped radicalize young liberals. 2020 popular vote was most votes ever. Obviously helped by mail in voting, but also helped by people passionately supporting and opposing Trump largely due to social media.

I think apathy is from people who AREN'T brainwashed by social media and 24 hour news cycle and just know this all sucks. It's the ones on those platforms the most who tend to care and be swayed by the nonsense they see on there.

When I said “doesn’t matter” I meant more that social media has made it too easy for lies and propaganda to be considered fact by lazy users.

I think the people that rally behind rumor and falsehoods don’t take the time to actually research what they rally behind or against.
