I have gone through many extended periods of unwanted celibacy in my life, some of them lasting over a year.

How did I feel about it?

When I was younger, it would get me down tremendously. My whole self worth was wrapped up in it, like there was no other measure of my value as a human being.

As I have gotten older and gained a better understanding of the true importance of things, it is not nearly so significant. Before my current girlfriend, I went quite a few months without getting laid. I won't lie and say it didn't bother me a bit but mostly I just took it in stride.



To put it metaphorically, when I was younger, celibacy was like being devoured by a shark. In my current state, it is more like a mosquito bite.

I didn't think it was possible to go a full year without pussy. Maybe its the industry I work in(restaurants), but every night after service all the waitresses are boozing in bars, just waiting to be taking home and fucked. So if you are having trouble getting laid, get a job in a restaurant, or at least find out where they hang out after work.
 
It's possible to go a year and even longer without getting laid. I think you have to actively be not trying though and in some cases even refusing it.

Personally over 3 years. As I said though it's been by choice.

Wal, that Friday sounds great, I will take Thursday off from drinking. I'll book us Friday morning at a good course, I am thinking Black Bear, haven't played there in a while. Let me know if this is good.
 
Sounds good. I'll need to know the tee time though so I can decide if I can drive down that morning or have to spend the night Thursday. I don't care what course you wanna book as long as they have quality greens.
