Blitty, the #1 criteria when finding a roommate is usually the person's most recent pay stub or some kind of proof of income, not whether or not the person likes to stay in to study or go out a lot. I've shared many apartments throughout my 20's and the lifestyle just isn't nearly as big an issue as the ability to pay the rent on time and one's overall cleanliness. Socialites are never home and book rats always are, which isn't cause for much conflict in comparison.

Blitty, it looks like this girl is shopping herself a boyfriend, that is all I'm saying.

Blitty, go for it.

I disagree, Matty. I could never have lived with a total book worm during college. I did my schoolwork, but I also HAD to party. It would be even worse if you weren't in school yourself. If your roommate prevents you from having fun at home, it's a huge deal (especially in your 20's).

Ah, gotcha.....to reveal a little more info, her older sister is moving out and im taking over her room. Also she is unemployed, early twenties, and semi-proposed she would like roomie that likes to hang a little and 'go out'. I will sign contract with management so finance issues shouldn't be much of a concern to her.

k, that does sound a little different then.

If I had to do it again, I would definitely have taken in a girl as a roommate every time. They tend to be a lot tidier than guys. I have had some disgusting episodes while sharing a place with 3 guys. Ew.

I tend to bring people home after I go out whether it's to continue partying or to hook up.

All I meant is that for her to consider his lifestyle first sounded sketchy. Knowing that there is management company to go through makes it a lot different. Here when we would recruit a new roommate we wouldn't even notify the landlord so he wouldn't show up to check on the place :wah:, so the #1 thing was to make sure the person was reliable money-wise.

Sounds like a good deal Blitty, where is it located?

Well, I'm still giving her the check each month and then she pays, but I don't think that is as much of a concern, from my other 'interviews' it seems like people just don't want you to be sitting around the house on their couch, watching their tv all day..
