I was copying my frens' cassettes starting in 5th grade. In 7th grade I taped all the Beatles albums off this guy and I mostly listened to that until I discovered Nirvana. First cassette I bought must've been something embarrassing like NKOTB, to impress the older blonde hottie who lived across the street.

Took a while before I upgraded to CD's - first one I bought was STP's Purple. Good shit.

I never bought an 8 track. I can't honestly remember the first record I bought/got. I also remember having this one from 1976.

The first record I bought was probably a 45. Don't ask me what it was. I had a lot of the K tel stuff in the 70's. The one above had disco duck on it and a fifth of beethoven.

The first LP record from a group I remember buying was Abbey Road by a little group called The Beatles.

8-Track: Never bought one but the first one I ever received was Boots Randolph, grandpa gave it to me.

Album: First album I ever owned I can't remember the name but it had Funky Town, Rapture, Disco Duck and I was Made For Dancing.

Album: First album I actually bought was KISS Double Platinum.

First cassette: It was either Purple Rain or Bruce Willis' debut rhythm band.

There was the occasional good shit in the 70's... mostly early, Mid 70;s sucked with the disco shit, then hit the sex pistols (awesome), the clash, blondie, the ramones, nick lowe, rockpile.... and the 70 s changed from the disco era to the punk/new wave era.... great turn..... Lots of heavy metal started then including Goddo, Kiss and others. how can you not love God save the Queen anything elvis costello did, or the clash...... Elvis costelo did 17 songs in 45 minutes.... I believe that was on the album Oliver's Army..... For those in Canada, how could you not love Frankie Venom and Teen age Head..... (Even if he was from the Hammer....).

Even tho Chantel was probably their best song you gotta love this one

Greg Goddovitz went to university with my uncle. Love this band.
