pally is so right on, its not even funny... the place wouldnt fold, but jj carries that forum like nobody else could. and he has done it at every place he has been. you are bitter at the wrong person over there dave...if you dont like the guy, thats fine, but its all the young kids trying to be like him and starting thread after thread about him is what the problem is, not jj himself.

people can talk about his shit being old and worn out, but ive never seen anyone on these forums that has anywhere near the imagination and forum personality that jj does... and before anyone says "shit i got twice as much imagination", show us...dont just say it.

first of all, to those who idolize him, his shtick does not get old, like the grateful dead, if you remember them. You may not like them, you may say it all sounds the same, but to the people who love it, it does not get old

That's why people are always asking him to redo and revisit sh*t he's done in the past - give advice on bash behavior, talk about what he has seen recently in steam rooms, etc etc

Obviously, there is no disputing that he is loved and idolized by a big group. This thread was asking WHY, not questioning whether or not it was the case.

furthermore, I would say he DOES evolve in many ways. His newer shtick dealing with "fashion" and how "trendy" he is, is relatively new, and obviously awesome, and also I might add, something that is not sports betting niche specific, as a lot of his shtick of course is

of course geniuses stay within their genres. Bob Dylan never started doing jazz, and if he had, it probably would have been awful. jj's genre will always be sports betting. You want him to start doing shtick about airplane food and politics??

Two contradicting ideas here. First, you say that he IS evolving by getting away from the sports betting niche a bit, using newer schtick like fashion/trendiness. Then you say Bob Dylan never left his bread and butter. So which one is it?

And for every one clever thread/post he comes up with, there are 50 that are complete garbage. Of course he also regurgitates the same story when he "almost fukked" any number of other "broads", just like the millions of times whatever racist/upstarting business/i'm broke post/thread is up next. It's all the same shit.

Pathetic attempts at being cool and hopeless attempts at impressing women are entirely within the sad-sack sports bettor act.

But it would also resonate with anyone who has ever wanted to be cool and impress women, which is obviously not only guys into sports betting.

I mentioned it because it's a relatively new sub-genre of his, something he has "developed" quite recently.

He's evolving not because he's getting away from the sports betting act, but because he is coming up with new shtick within it that would also resonate outside the sports betting world.

I guess you'd have to be fascinated by the world of the degenerate in order to appreciate jjgold. The more intelligent posters seem to try to find ways to beat the markets. They don't embrace the lifestyle and train of thought of those who are committed to failure. That's not something a lot of us find humorous or entertaining especially when it's done over and over again.

I'm tempted to give Pally the benefit of doubt, but an artist isn't always the best critic.

I feel JJ's done some great, humorous work in the past.
I don't personally identify with his issues as I do with some other posters, hence, I get bored pretty fast.

It is in fact the legion of morons his work attracts, as mentioned earlier, that I find most irritating.
