I'm sure I'll get a lot of grief for posting this but I don't care.

Until reading these articles, I was coming at this from a place of "evil Bacon" spreading baseless lies for no reason than to cause me pain/embarrassment/etc. Now I imagine it is possible that he really believes the things he is saying...not just with regard to me, but to other people. I don't believe it's a joke...that he is pulling something over on us. And despite countless evidence to the contrary, I just can't wrap my head around Bacon actually being the total douche that he has exhibited in the last few months. I have seen him interact with myself and others on here for months prior and he seemed much more happy go lucky. Of course there were the benders and next day apologies, but nothing this mean spirited or far fetched. I really believe something else is going on. Something way bigger than him thinking I make too many threads or my friendship with Cami. Mr. X gets it. Matty gets it. Persecution complex.

I don't know if there could have been a triggering event that set this all off? I'm not a psychologist, but I'm going to try to (emphasis on try) to keep in mind that there could be real life mental illness at work here and he may truly believe that I/Plommer/Archie/whoever is out to get him and/or Cami or to cause them grief. It's really the only thing that makes sense to me at this point. I would hope those of you who consider Steve a friend, might talk to him off the forum and see if perhaps this is what is going on. If so, he should seek treatment. That can't be any way to live. I have a tendency to be paranoid too...nowhere to this extent, but it's not a fun way to live.

I'm being completely sincere in this post. I know Steve will take offense. It is quite possible it will anger him and I will wake up to 10 more threads about me. But I think it is really something that should be taken seriously if anyone cares about the guy. And I know there are a few that do. This has gone on far too long for someone not to try to help the guy, if he will let them.

Or he could also just be a liar and an asshole who just hates me for no good reason. :dunno:
 
I was going to make a similar post. I had a severely bipolar person tangentially in my life for a time. If bacon is playing a joke, he's doing a remarkably good job of imitating bipolar disorder with psychotic symptoms during manic episodes.

I don't think there is any possibility of talking him down.

Delusional beliefs are by definition, fixed and held absolutely so that even repeated and persuasive attempts by others to prove that the belief is false, fail.

Hopefully this episode will pass, soon. Hopefully, he will seek treatment one of these days, and hopefully he won't ever do anything harmful to anyone or himself because of this.

Are the persecution complex/delusional thoughts part and parcel to the bi-polar or a separate deal entirely?
 
As far as the email I received today, I looked at the header, and traced the IP address, and confirmed it is from Windsor Canada, Plommers area. I am no longer concerned too much, I would just ask that he, or anyone, please not do that again.

Although, why cami is so bent about 1 short email to her work address is beyond me. It's not like it was sent to your boss. It's not like a phone call to work. It's the definition of a non-issue. You block the address if you're worried about it happening again, not that I understand why you would be.
 
Because my bosses can see that shit. because who knows what he would do next, because I am tired of people calling Bacon a liar when we were telling the truth about it.

To anyone who may have gotten falsely accused before I had the time to trace the IP, I sincerely apologize.
