I've turned down jobs. I have a fluid income and create my own hours with freelance work. Yes, I'd like a more secure full time gig but I'm not applying for tons of jobs and willing to take anything. I just got in to the #1 grad program for my industry. You know nothing.

Up here that 85k melts to about 55 for the average single person. Kids change the picture quite a bit, obviously.

Kid hasn't been around much the last 2-3 months. It's nice. My boy is having a few kids over on saturday and is inviting the neighbour. whatever. His parents are just horrible parents. Like I've said, the kid is a good kid, but it bothers me when he is over and his parents are living the easy life with free child care. Compliments of the neighbours of course.
