Well I remember picking the Ravens to win the Superbowl last year when everyone said it was going to be Denver or the Patriots. I based all that on Numerology and was right. But, believe whatever you want.

It sounds like the Phillies will get Miguel Alfredo Gonzalez. His deal reportedly is worth $60 million over six years, which would make him the highest paid international player, bigger than darvishs deal.

Not only is that pretty hilarious, but he might want to take a look at Harper's WAR this year as well.

When someone says a player "is and will be better than" another player, last year doesn't really come into play. Unless you're Daft.
 
I don't understand below? The guy's a FA after this year! Get something for him and then resign him for 2014 and beyond! Plus you get to see his market value without overpaying! Put the ball in his court! That player with one team crap is over rated in this case! Rollins has been more valuable on this team over the years and he had to fight to get his contract last year!

The Phillies are trying to sign Utley to an extension, as they consider him their "franchise player," and there's hope it can get done since Utley is said to love the Phillies. While Philadephia is listening on other star players -- including Cliff Lee -- they are apparently focusing today only an extension for Utley.

Guess GM Amaro plus Manual and the entire scouting staff has to go! This down period has brought to light the Phillies have zero prospects in the minors to bring up to help ASAP!
 
Yes FW, I agree Phils should be selling everything, but Utley doesn't need to be left out of that group! Phils fans better expect a few years of battling the Marlins for last place in the East!

Only way to avoid that would be key FA moves and don't think management wants to go that route again! But with a new MEGA TV contract for them coming in 2015 can they afford to be bad in 2014! Lots of empty seats in the park already this year and most of those tickets are already paid for! Dilemma for ownership!

Other teams are involved from my post but ...... I should have stated who has a worst record, the Marlins or the Phillies! If you want I say the Phils have a better record than the Marlins in 2014!

Ban from end of 2014 season (roughly around Oct. 1) till Jan. 1, 2015? What's 14 days! With you, who knows, you might partake in all kinds of cleanses, so won't be no big loss for you?
