I understand that the Mets, prior to their home game against the Yankees yesterday, honored Mariano Rivera by having him throw out the ceremonial first pitch. And the question came up of whether that is okay.

Here is my answer:

No, it is not okay for the Mets to honor an active Yankee like that. If they want to trick him and when he gets out to the mound, they gang tackle him and fart on his head and say the Yankees fucking suck - that would be an appropriate way for the Mets to treat a Yankee who is about to try to beat them.

But to actually honor him in some way? ----> no.

The Angels. fuck. They might get swept at home this series by the Astros, Josh hamilton heading to sub .200, hitting .220 now. I was just watching arizona state/ cal fullerton game, dog on the field for a few minutes held up play.

That doesn't happen often. White Sox/Mariners were in a scoreless tie for 13 complete innings today. Top of the 14th, Sox score 5.

Bottom of the inning, Mariners score 5.

And so the game continues into the 15th.
