Still think on paper: 1. Wash 2. Braves 3. Phils! To listen to Phils fans on the radio ....... few years ago when big name-pay players started to not produced, all talk said GM has to start going with young minor leaguers! Now Phils make small dollar amount offseason moves and Amaro gets crucified for that!

STFU most Philly fans! We got 7 players contracts that add up to 125 million! So cry that we didn't get Hamilton, common! People always cried that the Yanks would just try to buy a WS ring! So now they want us to do the same! If Halladay is healthy still has 3 legit CY contenders! Just need enough hitting and sneak into 1 game playoff! With those 3 starters I'll take my chances!

Amaro is a fucking nitwit.

Actual quote from that moron - "I don't care about walks, I care about production."

Here's some early lines on AL and NL titles ........

Los Angeles Angels +400
Detroit Tigers +410
Toronto Blue Jays +460
New York Yankees +635
Texas Rangers +675
Tampa Bay Rays +1000
Boston Red Sox +1150
Oakland Athletics +1650

Washington Nationals +365
Los Angeles Dodgers +425
Cincinnati Reds +550
Atlanta Braves +600
San Francisco Giants +750
Philadelphia Phillies +765
St. Louis Cardinals +900

Just outside that last playoff spot ....... we'll see!

OK bases people, Phillies Over or Under 84? If you wish you're free to change your opinion before the season starts after some research!

I will give reasons later why team is better on paper than in 2012 but the Nats and Braves got better also! The Braves O/U number isn't that far away from the Phils Saulty!

ok I'll bite on a quick non fan bystander square outlook and come back and revise it after I study the team (remind me MrMonkey to come back within a week)

Starting Staff is filled with names we know. I think the Key is Halladay, was last year just an aberration and this year he'll return to his super consistent stud status? I tend to think he is gonna decline as he is mid 30's? but I would bet on him being better than last year.

Lee is still good, had no run support last year, but still very good. but also aging, and that always makes you wonder

Hamels has been good, but in the back of my mind I always think he could just fall apart completely ankiel style

Lannan is solid, I like him. I feel like he battles injuries

Kendrick is a great starter.

outfield??? don't even know who is there anymore? I know that one stud older rookie from last year could play right instead of first.

infield.... old, old, and over-rated. doubt anyone will OPS over .800 unless the straight up platoon howard. Michael Young is a horrible idea.

I'm not sure who is catching, Is ruiz there, is he on steroid suspension?

If I had to give you a straight answer. on over under It would be tough. but I would take under based on their hitting. I'd guess they are basically a .500 ball club that could be super shitty or even contend for the division depending on how the question marks panned out.
