That was this week Archie. Rumors heating up with Garza going to boston. Cubs would pay a lot of that salary to keep Boston from exceeding the luxury tax. Cubs in return would get some nice prospects.

What are they saying about Ozzie down there? Probably a little more than a coincidence that many White Sox are having bounce-back years. The Ozzie-Kenny Williams rift was a huge distraction last year.

Many believe that the front office is putting pressure on Ozzie to keep trotting Bell out in the 9th because they're aging Bell $9 million a year.

He had 12, 2009-2011. 199 appearances.

Truly spectacular.

Not many closers last more than a few years putting up great numbers. They can't all be Mariano Rivera. Most of them have bad years after a few solid years. And most of them are quickly has-beens.

deal bullpen guys at their peak.

Pirates typically put together decent bullpens composed of vets, trash heap waiver wire pick ups, rookies and young guys not ready or good enough for mlb starting. ect.

in a few years these guys like Grilli will suck again, but the bucs just seem to have a way with getting lucky with bullpen guys.
