wait... Why did Jurrgens start and pitch 1 inning for the Gwinnett Braves last night in AAA? had this trade not been actually completed/consumated and the Braves were holding out for something more? Did they use the threat/reality of sending Jair out there to let the Pads know they were serious about not completing the deal if they didn't get a sweetner of some sort?

gotta go look this stuff up now

He's having a great year so far. I think he feels a lot of the pressure is off of him now.

You think the Yanks would make a move to get him back? I wonder if he'd even wanna go back.

nah, no way it happens. although i'd laugh my ass for weeks if it did.

a) Yanks, Burnett, all of baseball would expect him to crack under the pressure and regress (he's due a correction anyways)
b) Yanks would be admitting a HUGE mistake on their part. Hell they are paying MILLIONS for him to NOT pitch for them.... then they are going to "change" their minds and GIVE the Pirates 2-3 prospects for him after paying AJ about 4 million out of their pockets to pitch for the Pirates... It would be a public relations nightmare that could only go even more wrong...
c) the yanks have been burned by the pirates a bit in recent history
d) the Pirates will foolishly NOT trade a very valuable commidity in a hugh seller's market.... guy is ripe for selling at stupid HIGH levels.

e) I think now after reading some stuff in an sbr thread, that the Yanks will stand pat for now
