yanks are paying 18 million of the 31 million owed him

13 million for 2 years is a good deal for the Pirates, they just need a guy that can eat 200 innings

last year their pitching staff was great until august/sept when they ran out of steam from too many innings

Erik Bedard for 4.5 and Burnett for 6.5 to replace Paul Maholm who was gonna get 10 million this year if the pirates kept him

It's the truth. He has a career .311 OBP against lefties. That's absolutely horrid at a premium offensive position like 1B.
