Blitty,
Carlyle is our only hope of trying to make the playoffs. His no nonsense approach has to be adopted and accepted by the players from the get go. With that dirty American Kessel on the team, I smell a disaster cooking in the oven. All Leaf players need to buy into Carlyle's rough and tough approach, but I doubt that will happen.

I actually woudl not be surprised one bit if Nonis goes out and moves Kessel. It's a great way to undo BB biggest blunder in his entire career.

Bryz didn't exactly play lights out in the KHL when he was over there playing during the lockout. I think he was pulled and benched a couple times. I think Philly needs to adopt a more defensive game plan in order to accommodate his weaknesses. Remember than the Yotes were a defensive minded first team and he excelled in that type of system. I wouldn't be so happy if I were you Stevie.

Typical debbie downer, pucky.

If a flyers fan shouldn't be so happy, how should a leaves fan feel?

That should be one of the most interesting stories to follow all season. Kessel needs to play a 200' game. He may play well to start, but he will falter. The entire team needs to play a 200' game in order to make the playoffs. Our D needs to be rock solid. The good thing is that the Leafs have guys in the "A" and on current tryouts who can step in and contribute right away. I think the regulars will see this and are forced to play with 100% effort.
