I wish I knew wtf you talking about Matty.

Watching hockey tournaments is bad for my health. Especially the ones in Europe where you have to stay up at 4 in the mornings. But I don't think the time is the major factor. :sparesomecutter:Its the stress. I always feel more like shit than usual around and after the tournaments.

Hockey should be painful to watch. That was exhibition hockey. I have zero doubt that there was an unwritten rule to not hit each other too hard so players could stay healthy for the real season.

Canada seemed disinterested until the last 5 minutes of the game.

Common.

didn't notice. But then again I'm not a fan of grindy hockey. Seems like there was a fair amount of wrestling for the puck on the boards.

I never wanna see last years St.Louis/San Jose series again. Was that physical? Worst hockey ever.

It looks like NHL players going to the Olympics in Pyeongchang is not happening then. I guess there is a small chance the announcement by commissioner Bettman was a bargaining tool and negotiations are still possible. But I'm thinking no.

Beijing 2022 is still a possibility. I would say probability.

So bring on another World Cup, I reckon.

I remember back in 92 or 94 going to a US Olympic team game, they played an AHL team, but they probably 30 game schedule before the Olympics.

Wonder if this happens this go around, go the US just throws together players from the AHL, college and Europe for 2 weeks.

When I think about Team Canada at Beijing, my head wants to explode.

I mean, it's good. McDavid and McKinnon are Canadian. That's obviously a noice start. That makes my head explode in a good way.

But when you dig deeper and think about all the question marks further down the roster - like our multi-gold medal winners who are so beloved but aging (Doughty, Carey Price, Weber etc. I don't even know what to expect with Steven Stamkos a year and a half from now. Sid will be 35. Hopefully he's still near enough to max effectiveness. Then there's the Mike Babcock question. ) --> KA-BLAMMO!
