TG they didn't trade everything for MarcusM and other than that I'm happy with the draft picks!

So let's review the Offensive roster changes from end of 2014 season to right now from my perspective:

QB: Sam Bradford in and Nick Foles out! I liked Foles but IMO Bradford is an upgrade if he can stay healthy of course but Foles was out part of his 2 years as the starter!

Sanchez last year and now this .....

RB: If you see post #50 you can figured out what am going to write! Shady McCoy great RB indeed but wasn't the between the tackles guy Kelly needed! He danced his way to getting tackled more times than any other NFL RB behind the line of scrimmage in 2014! Chip wants a guaranteed 2 and 7 instead of gambling and being 2 and 13! D Sproles in 2015 will give you enough of McCoy provided!

D Murray along with Ryan Matthews I like alot, as RBs going between the tackles! Matthews should keep Murray fresh and still be an A rated back!

WR: Lost a big piece in Macklin but hopefully rookie Agholor provides enough along with Jordan Matthews growing and Josh Huff emerging as a guy who can get down field! I'm expecting lots of end-around types plays and also WR screens with this corp as both Huff and Agholor are noted PR threats!

TE: Nothing changes and this could be Zach Ertz's break out year? Fantasy owners are hoping so!

OL: Yes they are getting old but as long as Peters, Kelce, and Johnson are in there, they are OK or good enough! Need a RG and LG Mathis might be on his way out but consider .....

Of the 16 linemen on the Eagles' roster as of Sunday, eight of them were undrafted. That figure, 50 percent, might seem high. It's not - not relative to the NFL's four best teams last season, anyway. Of the 57 offensive linemen on the Patriots', Colts', Seahawks', and Packers' rosters, 28 were undrafted. That's 49 percent of them, and those 29 linemen who were drafted include five who were selected in the sixth or seventh round.

Hearing complaints from Philly media and fans bout not drafting any OL but above suggests Chip has a plan! Plugging in undrafted OL is fine as long as a few studs are next to them!

Bottom line is the offense staying healthy is the KEY for 2015 but that's the case for most teams! No doubt injuries can't be avoided but if a few key guys go down on this squad, the less knowledge Bird fans along with pot stirring local media will all point at Kelly as the villain!
 
So thanks to Bacon time to look at the defense! Front 3 solid again with unheralded Fletcher Cox! LB corps IMO upgraded with Alonzo in there along with upcoming Graham an improvement over aging Cole! The DBs is where the greatest improvement has taken balance! Overpaid for Maxwell but had to be done! Thurmond has surprised so far at safety! If whoever mans the nickel position plays adequately then the defense should be better than in 2014!

As a whole deeper in the skilled positions offensively but still behind Seattle and GB IMO for the NFC title! With the Redskins a mess and Giants having incurred enough preseason injuries, Dallas only threat to preventing the Birds from winning the NFC East title which appears unlikely!

MrM Game Review!

First off, Atlanta offensive and defensive coordinators both out schemed their rivals in the first half! Eagles DC Billy Davis had no answers and Kelly couldn't do anything against the Falcon D! Put them in too much of a hole that they didn't overcome!

1) Defensive secondary as a whole didn't play well! Maxwell had a tough game and playing a supposedly special team only guy like Mangos a lot at safety in the second half meant the young nickel backups didn't know what-the-hell they were doing!

2) Of course with the front 7 on defensive getting no pressure on Ryan at all, any secondary would have a tough time covering the receivers for that long!

3) Very POOR TACKLING! Falcons rushers were getting 4-5 yards when it should have been 1-2 yards!

4) Way too many crucial penalties by the offensive line! Plus the running game (16 attempts) was non-existent but getting behind big early made the Birds throw more often!

5) Maybe the stats didn't show it but was impressed by Bradford hanging in there with the pounding he was taking! Can do more than what Foles gave them even though I like Foles too!

6) Numbering here doesn't mean prioritizing but the FG kicking could have been #1 for me! Only saying this cause we all know games can be won-lost by it and Eagles probably lost one cause of it! Issue is guy was great as unknown rook last year but was HORRIBLE in the preseason this year! Kelly in post game said he had confidence in him still but another loss due to a missed FGA and we shall see! Distance on your kickoffs is great but you need someone who can kick it straight more! Say like a 40 year old named Matt Bryant! :grin:

Eagles 0-2!

One of the worst performances by a Birds team ever witnessed by me!

1) The offensive line was piss poor with absolutely no pushing back the Dallas front to get anything going run wise! And all 5 played poorly as a whole and not just cause of 2 new guards!

2) Too many dropped passes by the receivers!

3) Bradford wasn't accurate today and made some ill advised throws and didn't show much leadership out there in rallying the troops!

4) Yes, the defense played well but still some poor tackling that gave Dallas extra yards on plays!

Defensively we were told team Dbacks would press coverage 100% of the time! Maybe only half of that I have seen so far! Might be a telling a story they aren't good enough to handle it and that's not a good sign! Plus special teamer Managos getting too many snaps at safety! Where are Rowe and Biggers as backup Dbacks? Haven't sniffed the field, another bad sign!

Still believe the roster is better than what they have shown but Chip better get it turned around next week against the Jets!

Stat that is most telling: Time of possession Dallas 40:30 Philly 19:30!
 
CB, you teased me into thinking a division crown (yes) and was surmising advancing eventually to NFC title and SB win! But you only stated a division title and beyond that seems highly unlikely! How did you know? Come back and explain yourself! Plus give us some college hoops winners!

LOL! Probably higher than usual but surprisingly not that pissed myself! Sports losses by Philly teams don't bother much anymore unless cash is taken from me!

Tully, has to be the low point of pro sports here! The Phillies were the worst team in bases and staying there who knows how long, The Flyers blow (sorry Bacon) more than expected, the 76ers ...... do I need to explain that ...... the national media talks bout the Warriors beginning season winning streak along with the opposite end of that to get a laugh! And the Eagles were supposed to do something and they suck!
