I am noticing that some very dubious images are being shown to me to advertise dating sites.

I'd expect pretty hot looking babes. Someone I would fantasize about hooking up with.

Like I saw an ad yesterday - targeted at heterosexual women - and they used pictures of actual models/actors. I don't think I was supposed to know that. I think they were trying to sneak it in there - they weren't super-famous guys - but with my head full of useless knowledge, I recognized them.

Anyway, here's a pic from an ad that is supposed to make me stop everything and sign up at this site RIGHT NOW

Facebook removes 'feeling fat' emoticon after online protest

Facebook has ditched its “feeling fat” status option after more than 16,000 people signed an online petition calling for its removal.

Catherine Weingarten of the group Endangered Bodies launched the Change.org petition demanding that Facebook remove the “feeling fat” status update, illustrated by a chubby-cheeked emoji.

“Fat is not a feeling,” she wrote in the petition signed by 16,771 people. “Fat is a natural part of our bodies, no matter their weight. And all bodies deserve to be respected and cared for.”

I'm waiting for this other dating site "model" I've seen on facebook to show up again so I can copy/paste her pic here and show what a horrible person I am by judging her by her appearance.

Well, no. I'm not so much meaning to judge her as the dating site. She's just a person going through life looking the way she looks. People look all kinds of ways.

But, while I am admittedly not a marketing expert, I'm hard pressed to understand how having startlingly not good looking people is an effective way for zoosk or whatever to get sign-ups.

So anyway, fuck it, I'm done with Diamond Dash on facebook. I could have been a loyal player for the rest of my life - but they keep fucking with it and throwing these things they think are bonuses in there - but all I want is a good consistent game.

Like, if you're going to throw wrinkles in there, fine, but give me the option to decline and continue with the "classic" game. Or just have some special thing a couple days a month. Don't change the fundament of the game every 12 days.

Thing I wonder is, would they care? As a free-mium game, does the thought of losing a lifelong loyal player (who never sent them a penny for anything and declined every whorish request for me to pass along their spam to my friends) --> is that bad for them?

:dunno:

Anyway I am in the market for a new game to counterbalance Bejeweled Blitz that I switch to half the time.

I am seeing an ad now - for a dating site - apparently facebook sees me as an extreme target for dating sites - and this one asks the question, "Like curvy women?"

I do. I am of the opinion that there are many, many ways for women to look great and a nice set of curves is definitely one of them.

I suspect what they are really asking though is, "Like fat women?"

I definitely am not looking to date a fat woman.

And I guess they can't just ask, "Like fat women?" because such are the complicated times we live in.
