Yeah pal, plommer was a decent bowler back in the day. Mens league every Wed night at 7pm for almost 10 years in my 30's.
Some very good bowlers. Saw quite a few perfect 300 games. None by me, my best was 270 something.

Anyway a couple other things I remember from that month long trip to Vegas. Driving through Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, Utah and Colorado and getting pulled over by a trooper just after crossing into Colorado. Didn't give me a ticket cop was only interested in making sure the VIN numbers on the dash and doors all matched and then sent me on my way.
I remember thinking how pretty Utah was.

Also, the day in Mesquite happened because me and my amigo lost a lot of dough the day before. I practically went bust and so we decided to cool off with a driving day trip away from Vegas. I think I went with $50. Anyway the incredible run started like this. I bet a $20 exacta in the racebook and it hit and paid ~$25 for $2 so I got $250. Then played craps and won another $500. Then drove back to Vegas and stopped at the Showboat where the PAI-GOW table we sat down to play at went on an incredible run and I played like 20 or so hands in a row with only wins and pushes, so I made around $5k. I turned $20 into almost $6k on a fluke. I think I lost $5k the day before. I probably went with $10k total - yes, I had a little money back in the day thanks to being a partner in a computer processor smuggling biz. I used to have $30k in a drawer in my apt.

I can still picture those really old broads (senior citizens) at the Showboat dressed in tights and sexy outfits made for 20 yr olds. Was quite sad that they had to work at that age. Made me feel good to tip them well as they looked quite tired.

Also, when I got home I received a $1500 phone bill cause the cocksucker phone company was charging me roaming fees for the entire month while in Vegas
Plommer was a Scommer from way back
I remember they had old waitresses at Caesar's too. Must've been working there since opening. Showboat sounds familiar, but I can't seem to place it. What part of town was it in?

So sounds like near the boulder station. 1st time in Vegas my brother and I ended up staying at Key largo casino which got torn down shortly after. It's remnants still sit there and the bums live/roam the area.
As I remember it was on the outskirts of town to the west, it had a huge RV park full of trailers. My recollection of the place was that it was a dump and a sad place to have to work at. The fact I had my lifetime best session playing Pai Gow there means I forgive the place for being a shithole that made senior citizen old ladies dress like 20 yr old lingerie models.
