Will be trading a 2-year leaps bear spread on AAPL tomorrow.

Not great timing on that AAPL trade but I add on to it the past week.

I think there's almost guaranteed long-term downside in LinkedIn. Honestly, I'd be pretty surprised if they're even around five years from now.

APPL puts are in the money now.

Still riding the handgun trade. All is well.

Wish i was approved for level 3 options b/c i would sell volatility in HLf.

Has anyone followed this crazy herbalife story? Its either an illegal pyramid scheme or acceptable multi-level marketing.

Sell 10 feb 32.50 puts raise 1450
Sell 7 feb 45.00 calls raise 1015

This is a hypothetical trade, not approved for selling naked.

Both these legs of the trade expired worthless yesterday. Since I sold obligations in my fantasy world I got to keep the $1450 and $1015. Wish I could enter these types of trades.

The :fok: is going on here.

Its an airbet based on our thoughts on TSLA stock from the bitcoin thread. $3900 long on 10% out of the money calls for the bulls, $3900 long on 10% out of the money puts for the bears. The stock was $250 that day. As it approaches and passes 225 or 275 before january 2015 one of us could be rich beyond our wildest dreams...

What Investing Is Not
Investing is not gambling. Gambling is putting money at risk by betting on an uncertain outcome with the hope that you might win money. Part of the confusion between investing and gambling, however, may come from the way some people use investment vehicles. For example, it could be argued that buying a stock based on a "hot tip" you heard at the water cooler is essentially the same as placing a bet at a casino.

True investing doesn't happen without some action on your part. A "real" investor does not simply throw his or her money at any random investment; he or she performs thorough analysis and commits capital only when there is a reasonable expectation of profit. Yes, there still is risk, and there are no guarantees, but investing is more than simply hoping Lady Luck is on your side.
