Oh shit, sorry. Flop was K39.
Ah so 9 counterfeited our two pair. Hmm.

It's close. Hard to believe he plays a King this way, he likely raises preflop and/or continues on turn with one. Should be worried about 9 now too.

So as played seems most likely he has a 9 or nothing. Tons of 9s he can have in a limped pot. But he also knows it's a good bluff card. 50/50 between call and fold, lean call if we think he overbluffs here

Sorry you don't like my videos and my comment here.

It definitely wasn't meant as a slight. Obviously Stevey can post whatever he wants however he wants.

Was legitimately just trying to help. Complaining about (and being concerned about) luck and being results oriented are very detrimental to improvement. Since Steve is playing every weekend and seems to want to take the game seriously, I gave him some feedback.

Text doesn't always properly convey intent. And I knew Stevey would know I meant nothing bad by it so I didn't sugarcoat it or anything.
Yeah Steve explained your intent because you guys are friends. I actually gave you a compliment on one of your vids in your other thread after I watched some more content.

Crystal clear call.

We can't fold monsters against maniacs. If he has us beat this time, he has us beat. So be it. When facing maniacs with super wide ranges, you often have to call light and just be ready to lose when they actually have it.

This isn't even a light call, we have a huge hand. If he has a set or straight or AQ or whatever, good for him. This call is profitable in the long run.
Here he flips KJ for the nuts. I agree with a clear call here, no way to see that coming vs this opponent.

Sorry lol, flop was K38.

At work and was in a rush.

Also, I'm starting to think I could he retarded (no offense to the retarded).
Oh then yeah K3 is another crystal clear call lol. But once again I would NOT have limped that hand, maniacs always put us in tough spots, gotta tighten up!

TBH K3s should really never be an open limp regardless of the table. Gotta fold junk like this in early position and come in with a raise if everyone folds to us in late position.

Don't let it bother you Stevie, I have survived this long in life being semi-retarded! I believe that's why people don't mind talking to me, they feel better/normal after conversing with me ..... thinking to themselves at least I'm not that guy.

Yeah I was on tilt. If anyone raised preflop was folding though. Agreed on a shit hand.

Here we're good as the Asian maniac slams down two pair 94 with authority.

Not this time, buddy.

He left soon after.

The anger on the mucked quads comes in waves. Anger, disappointment, and just shaking my head at wtf. It's almost like going through a tough breakup, but not quite.

It'll fade with time, but I'll never forget it, for sure.

I've decided against bringing it up again with the regs, need to have it cycling through my mind as little as possible so as not to have it affect my game.

You raise k3 suited in late position? Even with the maniac to your left?

No with maniac to our left it's always a fold.

Standard table I'd mix in some raises with it on button or in small blind of everyone folded to me.

Stevey didn't want to ask right away but I've gotta know...

When did you get it all-in and muck?

If it was before the river, weren't you rooting for a nine to bail you out? And if it was on the river, wouldn't you have seen the board?

Not trying to rub it in or anything, everyone occasionally misreads their hand and/or makes mistakes. Just trying to understand how you missed it.

Definitely a valuable lesson in not mucking though 🙏

It definitely didn't come on the flop, which the action came on, I know that. When he flipped kings, which the odds were so low of, my blood was pumping and I was steaming so much that somehow I retardedly missed that it came on the turn or the river. I still don't know which one it was.

Still don't get it. I can only blame it on lack of sleep and exhaustion.

The only thing I can think of to help something like this not happen again is getting my own digs which I'm making a priority after this.

I have an app in for a place right now that is right next to the casino (still won't be quitting my day job of course) so we'll see what happens.....it's next to a gym too so I can get to working out, eating better, and living a better life....getting healthy and trying to meet someone. It's a little pricy, but it's in Fishtown, a nice part of Philly.

I then plan on inventing a time machine there and going back in time, so as to not muck my cards.

Really torn here.

I could take the place but they want like three grand up front.

That'd leave me with like eight.

The place is about $900/mth. I make $17/hr so 17*40*4.25 is *2,890/mth. Overtime is cut off for the time being. I also have EBT with like $1,500 (I mostly use this to pull ass as the one cutie in Coatesville said "what are you gonna do, take me out with your EBT card?").Job is secure. Other expenses are Bus pass $150/mth and DUI fee $50/mth and that is IT.

Expensive area. Would be able to play poker late night when the games are good, but one bad run and I'd be out of the game for awhile.

Let's have a vote.

I'm 60/40 yes but I'm REALLY torn

I can stay at the shelter pretty much as long I want.

Oops wrong thread

Let's go with it though

I'm semi psyched, but scared to pull the trigger.

Not to be redundant but if I hadn't mucked that hand the other night this decision would be so much easier, $10k is my safe number.

Life is life though.

GET YOUR VOTES IN, THESE GUYS MOVE FAST

Thank you for chiming in, JDS.

I really do appreciate it.

I am renegging my yes vote, not voting no....just truly torn so no vote for me.

Indian guy I recruited votes wait as well. He said that I can find something in Fishtown cheaper and for less money on Craigslist.

Bad news with him, he cashed his first check from work, then lost both the cash and phone on the bus. You need a phone to work at our company so I filled up my spare phone for him to use to get in touch with them. He still might be fired since you can't miss training, but it feels good to help out. I really like him regardless of what happens. Unfortunately since he's missed 2 days already the $500 recruiting bonus for each of us is probably gone even if he comes back. Or maybe not since 90% attendance is required over your first 90 days, so that makes for 9 days.

He couldn't believe the mucked quads story either.

So far the voting is 2-0 in favor of wait.
