To fly spirit you have to know how NOT to get fucked by them. Never prepay for a seat you can request it when you get to the airport except for BFS. Never carry on spirit, always check, which was a change because a few years ago it was never check, always carry on. They keep changing the rules to fuck people. But checking, I can currently get a flight from toronto to costa rica for 100 more than driving to the US and flying spirit and it's direct via air canada. Glad to see air canada getting with it. Last year two of us could fly spirit for the price of one on air canada.

Every time I check spirit it is the same price as american from here to Miami (at least $500). There are no bag fees for international flights on american either. So I'm really not sure what purpose spirit serves now. I know you can got to central america from miami though for peanuts. Everybody go visit rj.

just booked a flight for someone, went with AA, officially done with spirit

roguejuror have you looked at all into the british airways cc program?

apparently it's a good deal

brother of potato's (not tomato) has flown for free ever since signing up

code share with american airlines

A codeshare agreement, sometimes simply codeshare, is an aviation business arrangement where two or more airlines share the same flight. A seat can be purchased on one airline but is actually operated by a cooperating airline under a different flight number or code.

American and British Airways are code shares.

I don't fly them often (think I flew them once) but if you like a la carte pricing and they have a route that works for you they could be a very good option, particularly from a $$-save standpoint.

I kinda like a la carte in theory.
