I think it so hard to end a series, that the actors, directors, and viewers had invested so much time in, and have an ending that makes all satisfied. The thing I enjoyed about the Sopranos ending, is that it is up to you draw conclusions. Would one rather have seen Tony get shot, or interpret the ending that Tony got shot? Maybe they just ate their dinner and went on with their lives. One can draw so many conclusions, and probably back their case up with details from past episodse. The ending made you think, and thats something I enjoyed. Also people are still talking about the ending 3 years later, I see that as a successful ending.

Matty, did you watch Six Feet Under? How did you feel about the ending?

Given that I am not Matty Rain . . .

I loved Six Feet Under. In terms of great series, I put it right in the mix with The Sopranos below The Wire. But it is not fresh in my mind. I have been thinking lately that it is time to start re-viewing it.

The ending, was just whatever for me. Apt no doubt, but it didn't blow me away with the concept or the execution. Adequate.

Sop-fokken-ranos vs. fokken Dexter Stevie.

It's not even remotely close.

The first is a timeless classic that is filled with countless genius characters/actors. The second has/had a clever premise and an excellent lead actor.

Not even remotely close.
