Almost impossible to me.

So many reasons.

Sopranos:

-Much longer tenure

-HORRID ending (fact, not opinion)

Great for so long

Dexter

-Arguably best writing in a series ever

-Last season not that great as a whole, but the last 2 episodes were incredible to me. The ending - I can't into detail because I refuse to spoil - amazingly powerful.

-Dex and his Sis in the show are together in real life. Weird. Does not affect me might affect others.

Please don't hijack this or drag other series in (yes I know Breaking Bad is great and I love it too) let's talk this thing out.

Easy choice because I am into mobster, gangsters and organised crime. While I do have an affliction for researching seria killers and I have this do gooder side to me I can appreciate Dexter but Sapranos by a mile.

First season was very very good. But dood. No.

-HORRID ending (fact, not opinion)

It was a perfectly fine non-ending. The series was like watching police surveillance tape - it was slow-paced and it was all about deconstructing characters piece by piece, oftentimes by showing the most trivial aspects of their lives. Then the camera ran out of tape. The End.

It was fine.

I was also just fine with the Sopranos ending. For a long time I took it to mean that Tony got whacked and it was a representation of the abrupt end of consciousness.

Interesting notion. How did I feel about that? Like most viewers I basically liked Tony but if you step back and look at who he was and his actions, it would serve him right. How did I ever like a guy who did what he did?

Interesting show. As we're sitting here talking, I realize I am not firm in that belief about the ending any more. Matty Rain's take is good.

I just loved the show.
