There's no way I would've stepped on that deck anyway. I can't even go on the glass floor @ CN Tower. Me wuss.

Wonderful pics Matty but that crappy cruise day could be taken literally too! Never take a boat ride in Chicago if the Dave Matthews Band is performing that weekend! Just to be safe!

Matty, did you eat a big steak at all that the Midwest is known for? That's the one thing I would do if I ever travel to Chicago or in that area!

We didn't have much time to sit down in restaurants. Only had one proper meal in a pizzeria. Looked fancy from the outside but it turned out to be a mediocre chain type of thing. It did have a nice wine list.

Other than that we ate Austrian strudels at the Christmas market (which were rinsed off with a Spaten Optimator and some Gluhwein), crappy hot dogs at Soldier Field and drunken-late-night hamburgers at a 24h McD's right after the blues show.

2 days is not a lot of time.

He really lucked out on the weather. Soldier Field in Decembet can be brutal if the wind is coming off the lake.

Did you guys go out to any other bars/clubs in Lincoln Park? Did you go out in the Rush Street area? Division St.?

Summer time is really the time to be there. The beach brings out the best in Chicago.

Try to go during the Taste of Chicago some time. That's my favorite time of the year there.
