Did you guys go out to any other bars/clubs in Lincoln Park? Did you go out in the Rush Street area? Division St.?

Summer time is really the time to be there. The beach brings out the best in Chicago.

Try to go during the Taste of Chicago some time. That's my favorite time of the year there.

Nah, we stayed at the blues club all night, then Sunday was dedicated to the Bears game.

Great pictures Matty. We used to go to Chicago every other weekend when we lived in Peoria. Did you do the glass deck at Sears Tower (or whatever they call it now)?

Not windy at all (and exceptionally mild this weekend). The average Chicago man does seem broad-shouldered and grittier than one is used to, coming from the Northeast. Is Chicago considered part of the Midwest? The crowd seemed to fit the happy-go-lucky, rough-around-the-edges stereotypes.

Nah, I was told to avoid it. We had some deep-dish, went to the Water Tower, the Art Institute, the German Christmas Market (in which we were stuck forever cause it was ridiculously overcrowded - had to wait 30 minutes to get a beer), then B.L.U.E.S., then the Bears game.

Why would someone not recommend the Skydeck at Sears Tower? Think ill have to make another trip in this weekend and get some Christmas pics in the Mag Mile area.

See those faces? These people are barely aware of what they're doing.

There's no honking, no flipping of the bird, no all-out street rage. Just casual anarchy.

Nah. One sidewalk was completely jammed because of this crappy Tina Turner impersonator. She was wearing a Santa outfit and she sang crappily to a crappy MIDI backing track. People loved her.

Chicago is definitely considered part of the midwest. As soon as you hear "midwest" in a Jeopardy clue, think Chicago and then radiate outward from there.

There's no way I would've stepped on that deck anyway. I can't even go on the glass floor @ CN Tower. Me wuss.
