I didn’t play golf yesterday so my afternoon was flipping between Pocono the Gator baseball game and the Montreal Grand Prix. Those Formula 1 cars are the most impressive things ever. I don’t really like road courses but there is no denying the complexity involved. Also not a real big fan if Nascar, I mainly like the wrecks and lately the 2.5 mile tracks create such spread out racing that The Big One is becoming a thing of the past.

I am a huge fan of NHRA though. I know, straight line, yawn. Yeah, 300 mph in under 5 seconds, you don’t have time to yawn. As already mentioned by MMike, when you feel your insides rumbling by the shear power of those engines and your eyes burn from the nitro fumes you become entranced with it all.

I learned 2 things yesterday in the Formula 1 race. They can adjust or open that rear spoiler but only from the trail position and only if within 1-second of the person in front of them. Also if they cut through a chicane and gain a position they must relinquish it back.

I am thinking of going to watch them rally up Mt Washington in NH next weekend.

Yeah that was a McLaren innovation from last year. What they did (FIA) was banned it from use last year and introduce the technology to all the teams this year, it has provided good moments all season long. Good move.
