I'm with you on that. Reminds me of the time a racing fan friend of mine once took video of a circuit car race and started showing it to me. So basically a blur goes by. Then another blur. Then another blur.

I start laughing, "You're kidding right? You don't actually have like 4 hours of this, right?"

But he wasn't kidding.

that was one of the most miserable experiences of my entire life. I don't even know where to start.

2 hours of sleep, not so bad, slept 30 minutes in the car around 8am. not so good.
had my first beer at 7:00am
walked around and was amazed by all of the trashy people. I mean, oh my god.
I took tons of pictures just of the people. I'll post them for you.
The race was loud, cool at first, then just redundant and boring.
Cars going fast in a circle. I really don't see what all the hype is.

I'm going to stick with football and baseball. I'd like to try a hockey game. I enjoyed the knicks game I went to last year. But Nascar is totally not my thing.

Come back to Toronto and we'll catch a Marlies game (AHL). Then maybe the Nascar crowd won't seem so bad.

Everyone looks and acts like a retard at a Marlies game.
 
Any kind of lap-based racing is basically the equivalent of running around in circles. Nascar just uses the simplest shape of circuit.

Nascar haters are simpleton guys. These drivers are within an inch of their car's capacity, and their own life, for several hours straight. It's a crazy sport.
 
It's ashamed for these people who are really die hard race fans that they really don't connect with the drivers of today as much as they might think they do! Can't be the wealthiest of people but put down a lot of cash to travel to these weekend events! I know attendence is down but not nearly as much as I would have thought with the economy and all?

No longer drivers who more or less are one of them (a good old boy) but now are some of these young punks with an attitude who make so much money probably wouldn't be caught dead with any of their fans on the street? I guess Nascar is just like every other sport!

Nascar to me now is kinda like the NHL where I don't feel as connected to it as much these days! The NHL not really as much as them being in a different tax bracket as much as all these Euro players I can't figure out who's who anymore! No prejudice intended but God I wish the NHL was 90% made up of Canadians again!

Matty, just so you know I'm not a hater he was one of my fav players ever!
