OMG! One night with Casper and she has to go to rehab! :hidesbehindsofa:

Usually they never give the rehab people the truth right off the bat! I can see it now when she first got to rehab explaining why she needed rehab! "Everything in my life was going so good starting a new job. I went out an older guy who I was training with at the new job. Had a Red Sox cap on. I should have known better. Heard those people are so cocky and arrogant. Supposed to be a study date. Before I knew it he had me guzzling beers with him left and right. Then he tries to get me to sleep with him. I felt like I was with an octopus, handy all night long. Thank God I made it home, alone. I wake up and next thing I know I'm here."

Seriously Casper, she's HOT but I be worried that she might slit my throat while I'm sleeping!

Well right now, her crazy made her hotness not worth the effort. Then again, maybe in time she will be awesome. Just not now
 
The last 5 weeks I’ve stayed at a local casino hotel. Getting an apt. is not easy until you show income. Spent the better part of 3 months looking for a job and training.

Now that I have two jobs, things are slowly getting to a normalcy. January 18th, I’ll oficially be making good tips at both places.

I bring this up because last time I moved here, it was also tough, but I have to take a lot of blame for that. This time around, I’ve made fewer mistakes, but that have been costly.

The good things are that I’ve distanced myself completely from the “friends” I had in Vegas. Really trying to learn Vegas on my own. I have spent roughly 5 nights over the 3 months breaking night and not getting a room. Playing extremely tight at the BJ table to make hotel fees. Not my ideal way of being, but I worked hard in these jobs and I know if I stay positive and frugal, all will work out.

I guess one positive is that I’m now President Status at Stations Casinos lol. Baby steps for Casper.

:what: what does playing tight BJ mean? Unless you're playing large stakes or there's some special promo I doubt there's any value there.....

Half off buffet if you pay with points, that's the main benefit of President status. :dunno: I mean some of those buffets can be pretty good. Perhaps locals get other benefits, maybe free rooms.

I'm disappointed but not surprised, to hear that even in a gambling town you can't rent an apartment without proof of working for the man. Get yourself a weekly room at Budget Suites or something similar. There's a shitload of those.

Yeah Budget is the only ghetto place I would stay in. When I say playing tight I mean playing scared. President level is great for buffets and room discounts. Thing is with me trying to stay lean, buffets are tough. Vegas is harder than I thought to find an actual apt. I was extremely surprised.

I lol'd at first at the term "tight blackjack" but I'm strictly a tight ass poker player with balls the size of a mouse so of course I don't understand anything risk oriented. Good to hear you're hustling and making things work Casperballz. I've seen a ton of rooms for rent on Craigslist and there's always Airbnb, I'm sure you've considered these avenues.

When I reach a certain number in the next few months there's a good chance I'll take a trip out there, in which case I'll holler at you.
