Poorly organized, horrendously executed response.

If I were in SBR's shoes, there would have been a meeting with all employees, a coordinated response/explanation/apology, and one person responsible for responding to the backlash.

As it stands now, you have five people with differing, evolving stories and zero credibility.

The biggest issue they have is, the one person that commanded almost universal respect was Justin, but after being outted for contradicting (lying?) himself three times in three separate posts in a one month period, it's obvious people will jump to crazy conclusions. When you add that to the seemingly indifferent attitude of upper management, it's only a natural conclusion that points-for-pizza guys will attack anyone, including the well-meaning, gambling savvy, pleasant girl from Australia.

It's not rocket science.

god damn
I've tried to follow this fiasco.
a few days late seeing what went down, now trying to read all these fukn threads
b/t all the forums is making my head spin

can someone post links to threads from the other forums?
people posting about threads at other forums in threads at SBR???
filtering through the chatter at SBR is tiresome
cliff notes of facts would be cool?

interested in reading some, mainly " DD posted at EOG about it"
who is DD?

To be fair, right after the kid was born and I was negotiating with my other job, gambling was really my only income. It was either that or jump into savings or trust acct bs from my family. It was never going to be live or die but it would've made a difference between a lot of things at that time. And I just happened to fall on whatever variance ladder Ganch talked about + a few friends working in those two sports at that exact second I needed it. Total fluke and I'll always be grateful. So I can see how ppl got stuck there for Xmas. I buy a lotto ticket and start spending the cash. I can't blame any of them even if they deposited jack vs their fps and bonuses. It's still their money and they should still have it now.

But didn't/don't you have an MBA? I thought you had an MBA well before your boy was born.

10 threads about Betislands and the radar went off for Shari and she was ready to tip off her friends at Gamelive about her suspicion of Betislands possibly going under................but the hundreds of threads about Betonline and their group of books slow paying players never once made Shari think about her Gamelive friends and who might be playing with groups in Panama??????????

Shari,

You had a shit ton of nerve to call me a "shill" several months back................SMFH!..........difference between you and I is that books would never offer me a free opportunity to take their money and you are a fucking "SHILL" for SBR!!!!!!!!!!!

Go start an "SBR REPORT" thread about some "D" rated book who has owed a player $1,200 for 3 weeks and I will continue to inform players of which books are paying players and which ones are paying SBR.

Oh and as far as the going in hiding aspect goes, thanks for the heads up to remove those of you psychos with access to my personal info.

Love you guys but this is like the 8th time I've been threatened on here due to SBR so I'm done. I wish you all happy holidays.

No, this is horrible. Do you mean that you are done with this thread or done with gamelive? So many people here love you, you are something special young lady. This place wouldnt be the same without you

Oh well yea thats why the whole rating system is a joke. Comparing fly by nighr costa rica bookies with 3 employees to large british books that have been around for decades .

Books with 10,000 plus employees.

I was looking at the corporate info of Will Hill and Ladbrokes, both have over 10k employees.

I also saw that Will Hill is going to purchase Sportingbet.

Durito or anyone with knowledge here.

They keep reporting that Jon or whoever ran off with 1.5 million. I get that on the books that is how much was owed to players if the balances are accurate. Technically though there wouldn't have actually been that much money to theoretically run off with right? There could have been very little in actual deposits (little in comparison to the overall owed) because from what I've read players were "killing" this book.

I'm not trying to take any blame away from those responsible and money won is money owed but the number being thrown around isn't actual tangible amounts, right?

Also it seems impossible for even knowledgeable persons to decipher what's real and what interpreted and what is flat out falsities so you can imagine it's far more difficult for someone out of the loop. There was one quote stating that back in October there were arrest made and that one of those arrested was this financial backer. It was also stated that even before this backer was arrested BetIslands was running at a loss. Now if this is true doesn't it stand to reason that SBR, at least the top level of SBR would have known that things were about to go into the shitter?

It's so difficult to determine what is factual and what is part agenda.

It seems logical that SBR knew things were going bad before they claim (course they have claimed different dates) they knew. It doesn't seem logical that even knowing this the only possible way to overcome insolvency without another backer or sportsbook taking over would be to continue "business as usual" in order to keep deposits coming in even at the risk of hurting the very posters that keep you site viable.

It seems logical that you are buddies or have a deal in place to where you will get kickbacks and other sources of monies with a guy running a sportsbook and you get a little greedy cause you have a bounty of eager young posters who are ready and willing to deposit funds. It doesn't seem logical that you would run the risk of losing posters and potential (and what matters more to you) losing advertising from other sportsbooks because of the stink that would be attached to you site.

The whole thing stinks and the not knowing to what extent anyones involvement is makes things worse. You don't know which posters are posting truths, which are stirring the pot and which have agendas. You don't know who to believe or partially believe at SBR because there have been conflicting information provided and post have been either indifferent, feigned sympathy or even laying the blame off on those who were stolen from.

Wal, of course they didn't run with 1.5 million cash. They were getting buried by sharp play, skimming/expenses, and their poor bookmaking practices and decided to bail, no one on the forums will ever know the exact truth.

If you want to form an opinion there is at least 16 hours worth of reading between SBR, Peeps and here, to get a better understanding.

For sure they ran with the deposits of the last week or two.

WAL: Correct. Peoples balances didn't suddenly become ready cash, but the deposits they took as soon as they knew they were going down is the money they stole and it's been reported at SBR (no idea if true) they were taking 200K per-week deposits at the end.

My question for Durito would be this: How many people do you think it's possible were on their sheet?

We know there were people from SBR, but there must have been people from other forums, lurkers, guy in the street etc etc

I'd love to know the true number that were playing there.
