:yum: that's cool that you get to take Peanut most everywhere with you. What's the Mrs. shopping for?

Nothing special but was at outlet mall and went casually shopping before Woody's! At Coach store bought some Christmas presents for people like tiny coin change purses that were 20 bucks a piece! Then some 80 buck small purse that was on sale! Coach had a everything 50% off sale! Some purses are like 300-400 bucks! What a scam for putting a name on something!

Yeah it's crap that in most cases, you aren't necessarily paying for the quality of item, but the brand. Chicks go crazy for it though for some unknown reason. I feel like the wife is always shopping! Sounds like she got a good deal though, and some Christmas shopping out of the way!

First off, forgot to say thanks to IAG for finding the thread! TY!

Woody's is next on the review list! A by-the-water-joint that has a little more to offer than the last placed reviewed. Went there for late lunch and started out with fried coco shrimp app with sweet dipping sauce, very tasty!

MrsM got the Koo Roo-ben with the corn beef and I had the Pressed Cuban sammie! Both very good and was surprised but MrsM said the corn beef was cut lean just the way she likes it! Beer selection small again mainly typical popular domestic brands with a few imports! With the coco shrimp, 2 sammies, and 4 beers bill came to $49 without tip!

Woody's seems to have more to it than the Casey Fish House in outdoor appeal! Both had live one man band/music to entertain but Woody's bar hanging out atmosphere appears better! In one pic couple even arrived by boat! Well worth the price Woody's is and recommend the place! Tripadvisor has the place ranked #3 out of 34 in town of Ellenton! Peanut seems to luv being on vaca with us going out a lot and unfortunately MrsM could only hold 2 beers at a time and not drink them like Bread!

I think I would have gone with the peel and eat shrimp, fried calamari and seafood sampler but I'm a pig!

Well played Mr and Mrs Monk!

Peanut looking like she was getting some hearty eatin in and looking forward to more!

#3 out of 43 puts them in the top 6.97674% of Ellenton eateries - holy carp!

Our first time last night. Went at @5 PM thinking it wouldn't be too busy. WRONG. But did get a table outside by the water with an awesome view. Waitress, (Kami or Tami)? was excellent...very prompt and cheerful. Appetizers, mahi-mahi and ...More

The ambiance is what I love about this place. It has a huge horse-shoe bar for hanging out, an open air patio for dining with family/friends and water-front area for chilling and gazing out on the water and marina. Overall excellent place to ...More

Had great expectations from the reviews. It was perfect to sit outside on the patio and enjoy the sun on this cold sunny day in January. The beers were fine and fairly priced. The food was a huge disappointment. We ordered peel and eat shrimp for ...More

This place is about a close to perfection as any place I have eaten in the area. Start with the food. Fresh seafood galore but plenty of other options for those that don't like seafood. It looked crowded when we drove up but there are tables ...More

Great grouper sandwiches and sweet potato chips with honey mustard. Love sitting outside on the water.

Whatever Joshua!

So last visit was to the Fish House restaurant in Bonita Springs just north of Naples! First off cruised through parts of Naples and the beauty and size of the homes! Unreal! Probably something like Miami but on a much smaller scale and a lot quieter for the old folk there!

Another by-the-water place close to the Gulf! A little more ambience in perfect outside seating for the 3 of us when not busy! MrsM had a Chardonnay and I a Corona to start! We went apps of half-pound of peel shrimp ($7) and 8 big wings ($6) which were happy hour 1/2 price! Both were good and wings cooked better I thought they would be where skin is cooked perfectly!

MrsM went with pound of Snow Crab legs ($19) and I had the baked Crab Encrusted Salmon ($23) with a crab meat/bread crumb mix on top! Both were very good and Peanut as always enjoyed the scrapes!

The Fish House so far for combo of food (food better at next review to come) and atmosphere was the best down here and total bill came to $70 without tip! Got to see my first gator up close and personal too!

The Mango Bistro in Englewood was our stop last Thursday! Looks like a small dive of a place from afar but has enough of an outside area along with inside dining! Look at the website and appears lot classy than in reality! But WOW the food!

We went to the farmers market across the street beforehand and Peanut said howdy to a little piggie! Lunch was on tap there and we both started with the soup, Lobster Bisque Sherry, look at pic! Wonderful! And the bread the best baked of any so far in FLA!

We had the last 2 items on the menu, the HamParisian and Riviera crepes! Had a couple Kona beers also! Rated #2 out of 94 places but must know down seems to be lots of places that the food really isn't up that good! The Mango Bistro deserves it place though! Total bill came as you see to $50.23!
