She definitely has a look. There is no way around that.

She has the same birthday as me. Not the same year but same day.

Get down with me and Karen Black on Canada Day.

We are getting 40's and 50's this week in Chicago. I'm looking forward to it.

when I heard the weather report on the radio this morning, I thought about going down to the lakeshore and running or riding my bike on the paths this week.

and that reminded me of my friend Heidi, who is Armando's wife. And she was biking last summer on lakeshore with two friends, and she had a bike on bike hit and run accident.

she was knocked out, and didn't even remember the incident. she WAS wearing her helmet.

thinking of lakeshore, and thinking of biking, and thinking of Heidi, and thinking of helmets, made me think of Mudcat.

Muddy, make sure you wear your helmet, and wear it correctly. you never know when you'll get blindsided brah

All my current whining aside, I feel like we do have pretty mild winters.

I haven't seen any stats but I am guessing this winter has been far worse than recent average. I remember last winter I never even put my bike away. There were some outbursts of weather, sure, but it was mild and clear enough to ride more often than not.

I don't think I rode during the entire months of January and February this year.

Winters now aren't nearly as wintery as when I was a kid though. Global warming I guess.

I love going to dinner by myself at 4am in an empty diner.

Waitaminute Muddy, where is the bacon store across the street? That looks just residential.

Man bike on bike hit and run, fuk, Chicago is hardcore. Good thing for Armando she didn't die.

The bacon store is, hmmm. You can see the edge of a building in my first snow pic there. Pan right and you would see the other side of that building and the parking lot. The bacon store is beyond that.

Basically it's about the length of a football field past the cast of my teeth.

Then pan further right and you get the view down the residential road in my second snow pic.

Only 45 pages the way I have things set up. I don't know how you guys can stand to view the forum with only 18 posts (??) per page. Too much page flipping for my taste. If I could set up for even more posts per page, I would.

I like having 4 distinct seasons. But yeah, February-March usually comes with some amount of winter fatigue, especially when you get spots of very mild spring-y weather followed by some more snow and freezing, like we just did.

Seriously Matty that MrsM just looked out the back door frustrated that it has been such a harsh winter here in NJ! We start been getting some high 40s sunny days but the wind has been so brutal and constantly blowing this year still feels like it is freezing.

Should have taken pics of a large pine tree crushing our back fence for you from the strong winds. The tree guys just removed the tree debris and now the fence guy will stop by tomorrow to give us an estimate.
