It is warm and melty where I am. We have had snow on the ground since Christmas but I expect the last of it will be gone in a matter of hours and I will be out on the bike this afternoon.
73 today in Atlanta. Have been wearing shorts and t-shirts for the last couple days. Will grill outside tonight and have drinks on the patio.
Snow? What is it?
Here's the problem though relating to recording music. Here's the Catch-22.
So I'm starting a song . . .
If I lay down percussion tracks first, it will help with the timing of everything else but there is fair chance that once I get the foundation piano/guitar + bass + vocal down, I will realize that the chosen percussion doesn't sound right at all. So all the time I spent selecting it was wasted.
So if I lay the foundations down first just using the clicktrack, and then search out the percussion that sounds right with it - and then apply that percussion - I will discover a bunch of spots in my foundation where the timing was just a bit off.
Lovely day though and the walkers, joggers and cyclists are out in force and exchanging pleasant how-do-you-do's.
Springtime in January.
There were just a handful of corpses on the paths as apparently there was a guy earlier seeing if he could kill two people with one bullet. I'm told he finally succeeded on the fourth attempt.
Internet genius found dead from apparent suicide. Something wrong with this statement. First, what's an internet genius? And second are you really a genius if you kill yourself for no apparent reason?
