Nick Saban
Saban said Fanning has written letters of apology to Hansbrough and to Missouri coach Gary Pinkel.

"I talked to Gary yesterday about it," Saban said of his former teammate at Kent State. "He understands our position on it, and there's other things that are done internally in the program, and we kind of take it from there."

ok....yeah I am a homer to the nth degree but having that young man write letters of apology is just great parenting skills that will more than likely make a greater impact that a suspension. I love Nick Saban

I have a new meat thermometer and here's what I have learned so far: it is pretty hot in here. The old meat thermometer was not sensitive enough to give you an accurate room temp but this one is. Before sticking it in the meat it was saying 79 degrees.

That is hot for a room. I had no idea. I wonder why I don't notice stuff like that.

Yeah I don't know. I remember growing up, my dad always kept things at 70-72 - which was fine. I assume the office at work is around that. The warehouse probably tends to be cooler this time of year but it doesn't bother me.

Seems like I just don't notice either way. Probably I'm some kind of hideous freak.

:handshake:

Cool thermometer though. You stab the meat and the probe is connected by a wire to a control unit that just sits on the counter. No more peering and squinting into the oven.

You can program it too. Apparently it can alert you when your meat reaches a certain temp. I haven't figured out the finer points of that. (No surprise there.) I'll just watch the thing and take the beef out when it gets ~135. Then I'll tent it and let it sit for ~20 minutes and it should get to ~145 which is medium. That's what I want.

The inner temp has already gone from 43 to 59. That's a new experience for me to be able to monitor things with such precision.

Is this a great country or what?
